What a morning looks like

Five mornings, one small group, and room to try.

Each morning starts the same way, because sameness is what lets a child settle. The group is small, just eight children, so every child is known, not managed. We follow the play, notice what each child is working on, and make space for the next small step: a turn waited for, a frustration ridden out, a question asked aloud for the first time. Midway through the week, a special incursion gives the children something to look forward to, and something to talk about long after.

The team running the week is the same team we send into homes, kinders, and schools all year. The person beside your child has spent years learning how children actually work.

Does my child need an NDIS plan to take part?

Most families use NDIS funding for the program, but it isn't a requirement to start a conversation. When you register, we'll talk through how the program fits your child's plan.

My child has never done a group program. Is that okay?

Yes. Many of the children who come to us are trying a group for the first time. The group is small and the pace is gentle, and our team is there to help every child find their footing.

What if my child finds the group hard?

Some mornings are easier than others, and that's expected. Our team works with each child where they are — a hard moment is something we help them move through, not a reason to step back.

Who runs the program?

Eluma's Early Childhood Intervention team. Every practitioner trained as an early childhood teacher before moving into early intervention work, and each is certified in DIRFloortime.

What should my child bring?

A water bottle and a snack. We'll send everything else you need once a place is confirmed.

What happens after the week?

For some families, the week is all they need. For others, it's a first step. There's no expectation either way — if it's useful to keep going, we'll talk about what that could look like.
