Eluma is specialist Early Childhood Intervention for children aged 0 to 9, delivered in homes, kinders, and schools across Melbourne's South East. We work with three groups of professionals who send families our way: Support Coordinators, educators, and allied health colleagues. The information below is written for each.
FOR SUPPORT COORDINATORS
Reliable, NDIS-literate, specialised in a niche that's hard to fill.
If you're a Support Coordinator working in Melbourne's South East, you spend most of your week trying to find providers who are responsive, communicate well, and actually specialise in what your participants need. Eluma is one of them.
We're registered to provide Early Childhood Intervention under the NDIS for children aged 0 to 9. Every Early Intervention Specialist on our team holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, has spent at least five years in a classroom before joining us, and is DIRFloortime certified. We work in the child's home, kinder, and school, not in a clinic room. Our typical wait time for a Discovery Session is under three weeks, and we respond to coordinator enquiries within one business day.
We know how much your week disappears into chasing providers who don't respond, paperwork that doesn't arrive, and families who are themselves overwhelmed. We try not to add to that load.

FOR EDUCATORS
If you've been the first to notice a child isn't tracking with peers, we know how hard that conversation is.
If you're a kinder teacher, early childhood educator, primary teacher, or integration aide, you are often the first person to see that a child needs something more, and often the one who has to say so to a family. That's one of the hardest parts of the work.
Every Early Intervention Specialist at Eluma trained as an early childhood educator first. We spent years in classrooms before we moved into therapeutic work, and we know what a Tuesday morning in kinder actually looks like, not what the textbook says it should look like. When you suggest a family talk to us, we approach them the way you'd want us to: gently, without pressure, and with time for them to think.
We don't rush families into therapy. Our first conversation with a family is a free 60 to 90 minute Discovery Session, with nothing to fill in and nothing to commit to. Many families tell us afterwards that it was the first time they felt heard since their child's concerns first came up.
If you'd like to talk to us about a child in your room before suggesting anything to the family, that's welcome. We won't make you feel like you should already know.

We're not here to replace your work. We're here to do the part that sits outside your scope.
If you run an OT, speech pathology, or physiotherapy practice in Melbourne's South East, you already know how often you have to turn families away, and how much your own reputation rides on the providers you refer to.
Eluma is specialist Early Childhood Intervention. We work with the whole child, in the places they live and learn, across the early years up to age 9. We use DIRFloortime as our developmental framework, a relational, evidence-based approach with published research behind it. Our work is complementary to discipline-specific therapy, not a substitute for it. The families we share with you will continue to need your expertise. We fill the gap between that expertise and the broader developmental, relational, and family-systems work that sits outside any single discipline.
When you refer a family to Eluma, we'll keep you informed about what we're working on, share goal updates in line with the family's consent, and be straightforward about what we can and can't do. If a child needs something we're not the right fit for, we'll say so.
