Our small-group Early Childhood Intervention program is coming to Chelsea. After a year of Friday mornings in Berwick, we are opening a Tuesday-morning group for children aged 4 to 6 — gentle, structured practice in social communication, emotional regulation, flexible thinking, and friendship, drawing on DIRFloortime principles and the Kimochis curriculum.

Step three
Places are offeredAs the group forms, places are offered in order. The group is capped at six.
Children with NDIS funding can use their Capacity Building budget to attend, and because we are a registered provider it can be claimed directly. The group runs as a term program billed weekly at the NDIS group rate, in the same way as our Berwick group. If you are unsure what your child's plan covers, or you are still waiting on one, talk to us. There may be a way forward we can find together.

Circle
Connection and naming feelings
Using the Kimochis curriculum, the group practises noticing and naming how they feel. Putting words to emotion is the quiet groundwork for everything that follows.

Play
Practice through play
Following the child's lead, our team uses DIRFloortime, an approach that builds communication and flexible thinking through relationship and play, rather than drills. Skills grow because a child wants to stay in the moment with someone.

Close
Reset and a gentle close
The morning winds down with a shared, predictable ending: a chance to regulate, reflect, and carry something home. Families hear how the session went, not just that it happened.

Six children, every Tuesday. Enough to feel part of something, small enough that no one is lost in it.

One-to-one support, close to home.
Alongside the Tuesday group, our one-to-one Early Intervention is now available across Chelsea and the surrounding suburbs — Edithvale, Aspendale, Bonbeach, Carrum, Chelsea Heights, and Patterson Lakes. Sessions happen where your child already lives and learns: at home, in kinder, at school. If a group is not the right fit yet, a Discovery Session is a good place to start.

Nothing. It simply tells us you would like your child considered for a place. As the group forms we will call you, talk through whether it feels right, and only then offer a place. If the timing is wrong, you can say so — no explanation needed.
We are planning to begin in mid-August, during Term 3. The exact start date will be confirmed once the group has formed, and families will have plenty of notice before the first Tuesday.
NDIS funding is the usual way families fund a place — the program sits within the Capacity Building budget, and because we are a registered provider it can be claimed directly. That is exactly who the program is for. The first few Tuesdays are gentle on purpose: children arrive, settle, and join in at their own pace. No child is expected to keep up; the group moves with them.
Every session is led by an experienced Early Intervention Specialist — qualified early childhood teachers who are DIRFloortime certified. They understand children before they understand therapy, and that is the difference families notice first.
Yes. The group is for families across the bayside suburbs — Edithvale, Aspendale, Bonbeach, Carrum, Chelsea Heights, Patterson Lakes, Mordialloc, and anywhere in between. If Tuesday mornings in Chelsea work for you, you are welcome.
